Passion Projects
Not everything has to pay the bills. This is a collection of concepts and writing that was so fun to make, I had to share it somewhere.
Fantasy Football for ESPN
ESPN wanted to create an interactive digital game that would generate a name for users’ Fantasy Football team. I had the chance to collaborate with an art director friend to develop concepts for what the experience could look like. We had a ton of fun coming up with drills mimicking the NFL Draft Combine. This was some of the most fun I’ve had brainstorming and writing on a project.

Foreplay: Pitching PING Golf Clubs
While working at Viget, we had the chance to pitch for PING, the legendary golf club maker. I don’t really golf, but it was a great opportunity. We decided to take a swing and put together some spec ideas highlighting how we might reimagine the storytelling components on their website. We didn’t win, but I’m so proud of what we put together in just a week’s time. These are the sketches I worked on with our brilliant art director and what we pitched to PING.

Common House Writing
Common House is a social club with locations in Charlottesville, Richmond, Chattanooga, and New Orleans. From 2020 to 2022, I had the chance to contribute to their blog. I would interview CH staff and members to write short vignettes for CH’s site. It was such an enjoyable experience meeting so many interesting individuals and getting to tell their stories. Here’s a sampling of some of my favorite ones.
